Spooky Spider: Bag Topper

Wednesday, October 19, 2011

Hello Friends! I'm back with more Halloween Bag Toppers. I think I can submit more than one project for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday challenge #140. I heat embossed "Spooky," so I'm entering the Crazy 4 Challenges #109 challenge, to create something for an upcoming holiday and to incorporate heat embossing in it, and I used the Color Throwdown colors for challenge #164, also. I love this color combination anytime...not just Halloween:
My daughter loaned me her dollar bin spiderweb stamp for this one. I added Stickles to the web and Glossy Accents to the spider's body. The "Spooky" stamp was a dollar find at Walmart. It worked out perfect that it has little webs in the letters. I stamped it with copper Colorbox ink, then embossed it with clear embossing powder.
I saw the Martha Stewart Scary Fence punch on a card somewhere and searched high and low for it. I finally found it the other day at Archiver's and happened to have a coupon. So this project is a thrifty one. I love a bargain!

While you're out and about, check out Prickley Pear's October Sketch Challenge. One winner will be chosen by random.org and the prize is a Clear Stamp Set with coordinated Die of the winner’s choice! You've got until the end of the month to enter!!!

And, that'll do it for now. Enjoy your evening!
