Lots of Love

Wednesday, February 8, 2012

Hi Friends! Quick post here...I've got lots of challenge cards to make. :)

Flourishes is getting ready to reveal their new releases for February, so it's time for their Noon-Time Challenges. This is the first one--a Pinterest challenge! I love that peachy pink color with black and the cameos. Unfortunately, I couldn't find my cameos, : \ but I had the perfect color and style of dp!

Here's my take on the photo:

I made this card for my daughter for Valentine's Day. She loves dancing, and these shoes remind me of her ballet shoes. She's definitely a girly-girl! :D I wanted to use Stickles in the center of the flowers on the shoes, but I restrained because the inspiration photo is really soft looking and I wanted my card to have that same feel.

Here's the inside:

The silver heart is a scrap from my Q-Pig card from a few days ago. It's embossed duct tape. Here's a close up, in case you are wondering about how it looks. It's amazing how nicely it embosses.
That's it for now. You have until Friday at 5PM to enter this challenge, so if you're inclined to do so, better hurry!

Thanks for stopping by! Have a wonderful evening!!!

This is SO adorable, cheryl! Love the sweet inspiration photo and love your take on it. Those shoes are so darn cute.....I would so wear those myself. Love the pretty papers and all your layered die cuts. The ribbon laced through the top die is just fabulous.
