Hi Friends! It's time for another Tuesday Morning Sketch Challenge, and I think you are really going to like this one. It's sponsored by Cupcake Craftroom.
This was such a fun card to work on. All the dp is digital, so when I distressed it, some of the ink on the printed dp smeared a little, adding to the distressed look. I usually get out the ol' Zutter Distrezzer when I want to distress something, but for this, I spritzed a little water on my craft table, inked up the edges of the music paper and ticket with Vintage Photo ink, then dragged those edges through the water. All I was trying to do was soften the edges so I could roll them up a bit, but I got a bonus when the ink ran further into the paper. It really does look old now.
The felt flower is my first attempt at a rolled felt flower. I definitely need some practice, but I think it was still good enough to put on a card.
I just got the heart and scalloped heart dies this past weekend, and I love them (can you tell)! They layer up so nicely. I may have gotten a little carried away. Here's a look at the inside of the card:
See, hearts...and more hearts. :D On the inside, I stamped the Lace Heart onto the largest heart with Antique Linen Distress Ink and added a simple Valentine's sentiment, and left the smaller heart blank for signing. The edges of both white hearts have Vintage Photo Distress Ink sponged lightly along them.
So, there you have it. Want more inspiration? Easy...just head over to Tuesday Morning Sketches and see what the rest of the design team has to show you! Then, let us see what you come us with. :) You have until Sunday at 8:00 PM EST to post your entry.
I am also entering this in the MyGrafico Love and Valentines Challenge 119.

See, smearing can be a good thing! Your card is stunning Cheryl, the colors are so striking. I love the felt flower. I really want those dies that MFT has to create these flowers, but if I have extra money it's going towards Copics. Someday....
I love that you decorated the inside, too. Something I rarely take the time doing.
