Sweet Dreams

Friday, August 10, 2012

Hi Friends! I'm going to a stamp convention in Greenville in a few weeks, and I wanted to make a card to leave for my DD for while I'm gone, since I won't see her for a couple of days. :(  I won't be here when she gets home from school that Friday, so I'll put this under her pillow to find when it's time for bed.

My cards are usually darker, with lots of inking and distressing, but I like the clean feel of this one. The cute ant image is a pre-colored digital stamp called Crescent Moon Ants, from Doodle Pantry, which you can get for free until August 15 to use in their current challenge. It even comes with a couple of digi papers, too! The Sweet Dreams sentiment is also part of this digi set.

Like the layout? I do! And, I knew, as soon as I saw the Mojo Monday sketch for this week, I had to play along. Tilted panels always grab my attention, and this week is a contest week, so a winner will be chosen for every 50 entries to receive a Verve stamp set! What's not to love, right? :)

The TCP Tuesday 221 Inspiration Challenge, with all it's fun, girly colors was perfect for my DD! You should see her bedroom. She has a red bed and armoire, purple bookcase, pink nightstand, orange dresser, her walls are yellow, and her bed is covered in a quilt in all the colors in the inspiration photo!

This rainbow ribbon was a good match for this card. I love that it is not only variegated, but both sides are different colors, also.

I left the inside blank to give me plenty of room to write a note to my daughter.

That's it for me today! Hope you have a fantastic weekend! And, if you are planning to be at the StampScrapArtTour Stamp Convention in Greenville, SC, September 15, 16, let me know. I'd love to meet some of my blog friends IRL!!!

I'd like to enter this in the following challenges:

~Hugs,

Totally coveting that ribbon! I love it! The perfect accent to the bright colours. Love the twine & bow on top, and the white space. I'm suddenly using white space all over - careful, it's addicting :)
