I've had this Sunshine die and Absolutely die for awhile, and haven't had an occasion to use it, so when I saw that the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge was Ode to Sunshine, I knew it was time to try them out. :)
This was so simple to make! I cut the two dies out of scrap cs, sponged Wild Honey Distress Ink along the outer edges and around the inner circle of the sunshine die cut, then backed it with a funky, almost psychedelic dp, making sure the center of the die cut aligned with the center of the design on the dp. After trimming the dp to be the same size as the die cut, I glued the Absolutely die cut to the bottom of it. Finally, I embossed a 3.5" x 4.25" piece of cs with a Compass embossing folder and glued the die cuts to it. After gluing the card front to a white card base, I used a Corner Chomper (the green one) to round one corner into a deco cut.
For the glittery circle, I covered the circle portion of the die cut with a thick layer of Glossy Accents, then coated it with orange glitter. This eye-popping little card is definitely an Ode to Sunshine! :)
The inside just has a simple sentiment, that would be appropriate for many occasions.
Thanks for stopping by, and have a great day!

Oh em gee, Cheryl! This is STUNNING and STRIKING! The orange glitter centre seriously pops - but it is that background of spirals peeking through that seriously radiates the heat & sunshine of the season :)
This one will definitely brighten someone's day Cheryl! Love that glittery center!!
