TMS #171: Sweet Christmas

Tuesday, November 6, 2012

Hi Friends! Ready for another Tuesday Morning Sketch Challenge? Yay! Me, too! But, before I get to my card, I have some news...Tuesday Morning Sketches is having a DT call! If you're interested in being on the team, you can find all the deets right here. :D

Now, for this week's challenge: Our own Jessi created this fun sketch, and our sponsor this week is My Creative Classroom, an on-line arts & crafts learning center. I followed the sketch literally, but check out the DT for lots of other interpretations, at the Tuesday Morning Sketch Challenge blog.

The Flourishes' Sweets of the Season stamp set was perfect for this card. I stamped four of the "sweets", colored them with Copics, and cut them out with dies. The sentiment was heat embossed in white on kraft cs, and red Stickles add some sparkle. I added two eyelets to the top of the card and tied some twine to the card to break up that big empty space.

I was able to add some "frosting" with Liquid Pearls and "sugar" with glitter.

Glittery gumdrops with Stickles. (Had a Copic malfunction :( on the ribbon candy.)

Glossy Accents livened up the candy cane.

Sugar cookies need sprinkes--I used Stickles.

I stamped the sentiment and some candy canes directly onto the inside of the card base.

Now, it's your turn. Create something fun, and link up at Tuesday Morning Sketches for a chance to win an awesome prize from My Creative Classroom! And, don't forget the Design Team Call that's going on right now, too.

Thanks for stopping by, and having a creative week!
